Like all municipalities, Cottage Grove operates on an annual budget. EPL assessed the village facilities and built a cost-benefits spreadsheet. We then worked with administrators to determine the facilities with the greatest need and benefit. The project moved ahead on this basis. The village is getting their lighting upgraded and is staying within their annual budget. Energy savings of nearly 70% is common and they will not have any lighting maintenance for a minimum of 5 years.
