Project Manager
Like many members of the EPL team, Philip (Phil) Spurley has been with the company for nearly a decade and worked his way up from field installer to lighting designer and project manager. He knows lighting inside and out. For more than 7 years, Phil has served as a designer and project manager for EPL clients.
This industry veteran has managed and designed more than $13 million in lighting upgrades for more than 75 locations, including 6 jobs in excess of $1 million and 21 jobs exceeding $250,000. He serves as an advisor for ANSI/IES RP-29-16 Lighting for Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities.
As a stickler for details, Phil insists upon exhaustive, occupant-centric assessments to glean everything he needs to know about how occupants use the space and project goals in order to design Good-Better-Best options that achieve desired outcomes.
Phil earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He holds CLEP and OSHA certifications. He is Lighting Certified (LC) and has completed Lift Training. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Association of Energy Engineers (WAEE) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).
