These studies measured the effect of lighting intensity and color temperature (color of light) on the student’s ability to concentrate utilizing the d2-test developed by Brickenkamp. Three studies were conducted in a before and after format and a study and control format. It was found high kelvin, 6500K light had a positive effect on pupil’s concentration.

Lighting Upgrades for Schools and Universities
Study after study have indicated light in the rich blue spectrum has the most positive effect in helping kids improve performance. The right light improves energy performance. It can also improve student performance.
